EMPCT! KOF98:UMFE Online Tournament - USA/MEX/CAN - 12/18/22
Emperor’s Challenge Tournaments (EMPCT!) is a tournament series ran out of the EMPCT! discord. High emphasis on fighting games that Emperor__Snow actually likes (lol)…a lot, and wants to support. Usually, these tournaments are blessed with GUARANTEED cash prizes for the winners of the events. But more importantly, it serves as a great excuse to get players together to level up, have fun, and compete in an online competitive environment.
Stage 1: Double elimination
Tournament will be streamed at http://twitch.tv/emperor__snow

You are responsible for knowing how to set up in-game online match lobbies/rooms for yourself, and how to connect with your opponents, using the correct legal tournament criteria/settings. This includes selecting the best options to ensure smooth online play for games with rollback (setting input delay frames, etc.)
Please make sure the username you signed-up for, for this tournament here on Grilla, MATCHES the username you use in the discord server. This makes matchmaking, and the check-in process, much-more easier for the T.Os, and your opponents.
Once the tournament starts players will be called first in the discord (#stream-queue channel) to play their matches on stream. If your match was called to play on stream, please DO NOT play your match off stream. After that, then the T.O will give the remaining players the okay (in the #tournament-matchmaking channel) to play their matches off stream. This will ALL repeat throughout the tournament rounds up until we get to the top 8 players of the bracket. All of top 8 will be streamed.
Once your tournament match is over, please report the match score in BOTH the #scores channel in the discord AND on Grilla using the score reporting features. Both players (especially the winner) are responsible for match reporting.
If a player is UNABLE to find their opponent, please contact the T.O running the tournament bracket. Players usually have about 5 mins to report to their match. If the T.O deems it necessary to disqualify a player, that player will be moved to the Losers bracket first. And then removed out of the tournament if the same thing happens while that player is in the Losers bracket.
For ANY tournament related problems or issues with a tournament match/set, please bring them up RIGHT AWAY in the #disputes channel. And also make sure to ping the player involved in the match and the T.O who is running the event (for accountability purposes).
For any disputes involving internet connections we will be using http://www.testmyspeed.onl to settle them. If you are caught using a WIFI connection you will be banned from the current tournament you’re in. And in ANY future tournaments for the rest of the year. This is your final warning.
As always, remember to have fun and enjoy yourself. Please be respectful to your fellow opponents and to the T.O/discord staff. If you get salty or frustrated, that’s fine…but keep it in game. Disrespect to players in any form or circumstances WILL NOT BE TOLERATED. Discrimination, Hate-speech/talk, or any form of bigotry WON’T BE TOLERATED either. This includes in stream chat or in ANY FORM of correspondence/communication. All of the beforementioned are punishable by bans or permabans. Treat others how you expect to be treated.
Thank you in advance for your participation in this event. <3
